Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Malia exceeded expectations this season. When we first saw her in the fall, it was clear she could be a factor for her team, but what really stood out as the year progressed was her ability to move the ball and create opportunities for others.
She showed a strong feel for the game, consistently finding ways to get the ball downhill—whether attacking herself or setting up a teammate in the right spot. That ability to initiate offense and keep the ball moving made her an important playmaker and a player who impacted the flow of the game.

Malia continues to rise from her initial placement this summer, and her performances so far show she’s nowhere near finished climbing. She’s been a primary contributor for North Sanpete, consistently producing on both ends of the floor. While her height may cap her ceiling in some evaluators’ eyes, her skill set tells a different story — she turns pressure defense into instant offense, plays with pace, and rarely wastes a possession. Her instincts and competitiveness make her one of the more intriguing prospects in her class, and if her trajectory holds, she’ll keep pushing her way up the board.
