About Marisa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aware of the floor. Good ball control. Team player and fast on defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Very outgoing and like to think of myself as a leader. Great relationship with my teammates and coaches. Have been told by many coaches that I am a coachable player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Student Council, NJHS. Leadership award

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been on student council since 6th grade and have been part of the NJHS program since 7th grade. Those two programs/clubs have taught me and influenced me to give back to my school and community. I have also been attending church and catechism and have made my confirmation as an 8th grader. While perusing that I have also volunteered many hours to helping others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My size has always been a challenge that I’ve faced in athletics. I work really hard with my coaches and trainers to develop the skills and confidence to shine in the court no matter what size I am or my opponents are.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that fits my personality and my future goals. One that focuses on not just my athletics but also education.
