About Markie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with court vision and speed. I am relentless on defense and a constant threat attacking the rim. My role as a point guard is to create opportunities for my team. I love the sport, I have fun playing and train hard.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a point guard, my mindset is to control the game and make the right play every time down the floor. I stay pass-first but always ready to score when the opportunity is there, reading the defense and thinking a step ahead. I keep my composure under pressure & take pride in being a leader by communicating, encouraging & holding myself accountable. “We not Me” mentality.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently ranked #2 in the state of Missouri for 100m hurdles in track for the 2030 girls. I also compete in the 100m and high jump. Our Nixa Junior high school basketball team went undefeated and we won our conference championship.
