Marleigh was talking from the time I walked into the gym until Banks County finished playing their first game of the day, specifically on defense where she made sure her teammates knew where their help was and if a screen was coming. Dale is about as strong and athletic as any kid in Georgia that is over six feet tall. She has finished in the top three of the shot put the last two years, something she will have the opportunity to do in college. Offensively Marleigh was able to physically overwhelm Elbert County while showing soft hands and good touch at the same time. She does a great job sitting down and extending her arms in the post giving her teammates a target and sealing the defender behind her. Once she catches the ball, Dale gets it up to the rim very quickly and with great accuracy. She would have no trouble at not only doing track and field in college, but also contribute on the basketball team wherever she goes.

Marleigh is a player I have been impressed by for a long time. She is a very accomplished track star and a state champion thrower. She is tall and strong and does about as good a job as any post in Georgia using that to her advantage. Dale moves very well for her size and is the vocal leader of her team. She stayed positive and encouraged her teammates throughout a very tense, back and forth game. Dale has soft hands and nice touch around the rim making her a serious threat in the post for Banks. Dale is not afraid of contact and does a really nice job drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line where she shoots the ball well.

Dale is a rugged interior option for Banks County. She establishes position, finishes through contact and carves out space with her strong base. A true physical post that thrives on traffic buckets.
