Marley is another prospect who has been affected by a great deal of talent around her, but she has genuine potential as a small college forward. First, she plays with a strong motor and likes to seek physicality. She will battle players much bigger than herself, but she is also versatile defensively and can take on wings. Offensively, she’s probably best facing the basket in the mid-post or the short corners. She has some touch on her jumper, and she can put it on the floor 2 to 3 dribbles and get somewhere productively.

Due to a number of incoming transfers last year, Marley found herself in a bit of a lesser role as a Junior, but she went out this Spring & Summer and proved she could still play this game. She is tough-nosed, hard-working, physical, and aggressive. She plays bigger than she is, rebounds outside of her area, and can defend multiple positions. Offensively, she is probably best as a mid-post scorer, but around the rim she often finds her share of put-backs and “scraps” baskets. I look for her to have a really nice Senior season.

Marley was limited a bit this Winter due to all of the new transfers to McCutcheon seeing opportunity. Make no mistake, though, she has some small college potential for sure. She has an athletically strong frame, she plays with a good motor, and she seems to enjoy physicality. She plays much bigger than she is, she likes to defend and rebound, but she also has some offensive skill. She is most effective in the mid-post, where she can shoot or drive it from 15-feet.
