This center gets better every single time she steps on the court. At 6’2″ she is mobile and runs the floor well to create scoring opportunities for her teammates and herself. Her footwork is fundamental with her back to the basket, she can finish strong on the block. She also has a soft touch away from the basket so she can also get points from 10-15 feet. Marley plays her role well, setting excellent screens and crashing the boards on both ends. On the defensive end, she really puts her height to use to own the paint. The aggressive, fast pace of the grassroots summer will elevate Picket’s game even more, just in time for her senior season.

It is Pickett’s time for an explosive summer. This junior has only been playing since the 8th grade, her improvement has truly been exponential. Marley is big AND mobile. She uses her body well and moves her feet to keep her position on the block and make her a strong target. With very few bad habits when it comes to her moves in the paint, it is going to be exciting to watch her combine her natural power with skillful footwork this summer. With an excellent soft touch, she can be a multi-level threat on offense when hitting shots from the high post. Defensively, Marley is all that you would expect and more. She easily pushes offense players off the block and out of the paint to take position. Matched with being a rebounding machine and getting nearly 3 blocks per game, Pickett is set to have an exciting summer.

Pickett is a true center. She is easily over 6’2″ and knows how to use her height. She makes herself a great target for her teammates, always getting to the post spots with numbers out and hands up. Her footwork improves each time she steps on the court, giving way to even more scoring opportunities as she continues to split minutes between JV and Varsity. As expected from her height and frame, she is a defensive force. Literally a wall of strength that both guards and posts run into any time they try to enter the paint. Marley is very mobile at her height and not afraid to play at 15ft on offense or defense. Marley will be a key to Legend remaining a force in the paint in the coming years.
