With a field that appears wide open, Mong on Friday night submitted a strong case why Merritt could win their second title in three years. She’s a country strong guard, who was unstoppable on drives. Multiple “And 1” finishes and carried the whole town of Merritt on her back to a Class 2A Area Championship. Mong is looking to finish her high school career strongly, figuratively and literally with outstanding driving ability.
