Mashae has had an All-State kind of season and will be looking to add a State Championship trophy to Kenmare’s trophy case this weekend. She is a proven leader on the floor and is super steady with the ball. She is very quick and shifty which makes up for her 5’5 size. She can score from multiple areas but is a particularly good three-point shooter. I am excited to see how Mashae and Kenmare/Bowbells do this weekend.

Mashae is a superstar and All-State caliber type of player. She is a terrific shooter and can make shots with a high degree of difficulty, such as step back three-pointers. She is very quick and a great ball handler. She doesn’t get sped up when opposing teams pressure her and can make easy passes to teammates in the press break. She also is a great screener. Kenmare has used her in a great ‘little’ to ‘big’ cross-screen action in the half-court.

Mashae and Taya were the reason Kenmare had a chance to come back and win against Bottineau. Mashae’s quickness was on display all night long, getting by defenders and traps to create shots for herself and her teammates. She did a great job of decision making off of the bounce. She made timely passes to teammates for open threes and she knocked down several of her own that swayed the momentum Kenmare’s way in the fourth quarter. I appreciate how hard Mashae competes.

Mashae is a quick guard who gets a lot done for her size. She plays extremely hard and is a high quality defender. Her quickness and anticipation gives her a lot of opportunities to get steals and get her team running in transition. Last season she had 67 steals and I anticipate that number going up her senior season. She also recorded an incredible 88 three point makes last season. Mashae is a veteran leader on the Honkers who return everyone from last season’s 20 win team.

Mashae is an all-around talent out of North Dakota who has a complete toolkit for the point position. She has the basketball knowledge, ball-handling ability, tenacity, and court awareness needed to effectively run an offense. She is an excellent three-point shooter and does a great job preparing to shoot to get her shot off before defenders recover. A tough kid she plays intense defense and helps her team do what it takes to win games.
