Maylee is an extremely experienced guard who has been starting varsity since 7th grade. That experience shows in her poise and basketball IQ. She stretches the floor with her shooting ability and understands how to control the game late. Defenses have to account for her at all times. Maylee is averaging 18.2 ppg and leads her team in free throws made and free throw percentage!

Maylee can put up points in bunches, as she showed with several high-scoring performances last season. She’s a talented shot creator who uses her speed and handle to maneuver through defenses, get into the paint, and make plays, while also being effective off the catch from deep. After earning her first offer from Bluefield University over the summer, Maylee looks to carry that momentum into her sophomore season at McCreary County.

A volume scorer from the point guard spot, Creekmore can fill up a stat sheet in a hurry. Maylee was a veteran on one of the youngest teams in all of the KHSAA last season and should be a pivotal piece for McCreary Central this year as they make a push to get back to the regional tournament this winter. If Maylee can improve her three point shooting, she could be averaging close to 20 points per game this year as she already excels at getting into the paint and getting to the free throw line.

Maylee had a strong freshman campaign, leading McCreary Central in scoring with 13.5 points per game. She uses her speed and handles to get by defenders and into the lane, where she displays a nice float game and finishes creatively around the rim, consistently finding clever ways to get her shot off. Maylee is a natural scorer and can rack up points quickly when she finds her rhythm. She’s also a solid passer and a pesky defender. I expect her numbers to climb even higher next season.

Maylee makes her way into the top 15 after a stellar start to her freshman season, averaging a team-leading 18.8 points a game for the Lady Raiders. Her performance in the third game of the season against Lynn Camp was nothing short of spectacular. She poured in a whopping 42 points, went 13/24 from the field, and 3/5 from deep to lead her team to victory. Maylee is proving to be a scoring machine and she is making it clear that she has the potential to be much higher on the list.

Creekmore is poised and ready to do more as she steps into her freshman season. As an eighth grader for McCreary Central, Creekmore averaged 12.1 points per contest. She has no problems getting her teammates involved on the flow of the game. If she has the ball behind the 3-point arc, there is a good chance she will take – and make – said ensuing shot attempt. Creekmore is an efficient runner of the floor, will deliver strong finishes at the rim and has no issues drawing contact to find herself at the free throw line. Defense is another area of her overall game that she excels at. 

Creekmore is a name that holds weight when comes to girls basketball at McCreary Central. Kennedy Creekmore was a 1,500 point career scorer that graduated this year and is now at Johnston University in Tennessee. By the looks of it her younger sister Maylee will be taking over the reins this season. She averaged 12.1 PPG and was the second-leading scorer behind Kennedy last season. Maylee has a great feel for the game. She can score from all three levels, likes to push the pace on the fast break, and is very active on the defensive end.
