Expert Analysis
Byron Xerxes Livsey | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
One of the best versatile post players in her class, and in the state. Megan has all the tools that can transfer to the next level. Offensively, she can change the game with the ball in her hand, but most certainly when shes cutting, or running the lanes on a fast break. She has the speed, the strong frame, and the playmaking ability to play the 2-4 once she gets to college.

Megan is a naturally commanding presence around the rim. Megan consistently demonstrated the ability to finish in the post over shoulder with either hand. Megan also has very good footwork and was able to execute counter moves when her initial move was stopped. Megan demonstrated a high basketball IQ by immediately getting deep position on weaker defenders while also facing up and attacking the rim against slower opponents. Megan showed that she was one of the top Post players at this camp.

Coming back from injury, Megan has seemed to add a little more athleticism and versatility to her game. She looks stronger, she’s moving smoother, and she still shows a strong amount of aggression on both ends. Offers should roll in soon, but the hesitation could be labeled because she’s a “tweener”. Regardless, she could benefit from a program at the Division 1 level.

Megan missed out on a chunk of her junior season, but she is back and competing for her last AAU run. Prior to the injury, Megan was in a lane of her own when it came to athletic forwards. She has the agility, the grit, and the IQ that still separates her from the rest, but once her confidence fully kicks back in on the athleticism side, she is a top 15 player in this class. The offers have been there, and I am sure they will continue to roll in.

We haven’t seen Ganschow in about a year, but we know the work is being put in off the court. The talent and potential she has is high, and when her game is more skill based than athleticism based, it’s no long shot to say that she probably won’t miss a step.

A tough and physical post who adds another layer of skill due to her ability to stretch and play in the full court. Players like Megan seem to translate their skillset seamlessly because of their ability to play within any system. This kid has a huge amount of potential, and college coaches need to be keeping an eye on her.

Ganschow had numerous coaches circle her jersey number. She can play 3-5, and sometimes bring the ball up if needed. She’s strong in the post, patient in the post and has the motor to run post to post. Offensively she can score off the face up or back to the basket. Defensively she showed her ability to guard multiple positions. High potential.

Without a top 3 player in my personal favorites in this class.. Ganschow in the post is a serious problem for the opponents On the glass.. she controls everything. Gets great positioning, knows how to relocate to get the long rebound, and her awareness is top tier. Offensively, her comfortability is on the block, but as that expands.. Megan will find her way to the top of this class, very soon.
