Walton is heady, and watching her continue to elevate her game had me smiling. Her defense has gotten better, she even understands how to set the offensive player up to take charges. She’s “long and athletic” which is the base, and scored off the dribble

Walton showed me she’s been working and if you pay attention, you know I love “on the court” progression. Her first step is going to create some problems, and so is her threading the needle for assists, both in the set and transition yet her court vision across the board was solid, as was her body control on her finishes

Walton keeps showing me something extra and her COP, change of pace, will have people calling the law for help defensively. She’s creating her shot under pressure better but she’s also creating spacing to drop it and when you factor in her deceptive first step to score or dish off the dribble, that’s nice. Even nicer is her seeing the floor in the open court, rebounding, and playing the passing lane

Walton continues to show “on the court” progression and watching her create not only her shot but spacing to get it off is a huge plus, especially since she knocks it down. She also has a deceptive first step to attack and finish or dish, body control plays a part, especially after contact. Her court vision in the set as well as in transition looked good, she rebounded an played the passing lane

Walton comprehends the game which is no surprise as she has been watching her older sisters since she was a toddler. Her ability to get hers in the flow has always been a plus yet her court vision looked very good, both in the set and off the dribble. She created her shot and dropped the jumper, with a hand in her face. She also gave me the “hands and footwork” to score inside the paint
