Beach had an incredible District run in 2026, many considering it a “Cinderella” run. They were the 6th-seed and were able to win the District Title, securing themselves a spot in the Region tournament with hopes of making the state tournament. Mila scored a team-high 20 points in their upset victory at the District Championship game. She shone brightest when her team needed her the most. Beach has a handful of talented young players with some older veterans returning next season. I anticipate Mila having an outstanding season in 2026-2027 with the taste of postseason success last year.

Mila found herself in Beach’s varsity starting lineup last season as an 8^th grader.  She moves like a veteran on the court, which indicates a good basketball IQ.  She plays well with teammates in their double-post zone offense.  She knows when to cut and more importantly, when not to cut.  She has a quick release and can knock down the mid-range with ease.  Her size and athleticism will lead her to improved defensive efforts in the future.
