Ford did a really nice job for her team on Saturday, especially in transition. Over the course of the four hours I did not see anyone run harder from 10 o’clock all the way through until after 2 o’clock when the showcase ended. She kept working and running when other players started to fade away condition-wise in the afternoon which resulted in a lot of lay ups on the break. When Morgann had the ball in her possession should looked very confident and competent in both 3v3 and 5v5 game play. She played tough, solid defense as well putting a lot of pressure on opposing ball handlers.

Ford was one of the more consistent playmakers throughout the weekend in metro-Atlanta. She was one of two eighth graders that earned roster spots with First Presbyterian Day this past season and was part of a Vikings team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a 17-12 record. One Step Away Select 2030 was another team whose Peach Games weekend began inauspiciously as it suffered a close defeat to Grind To Shine (GTS) Basketball 15U. Three wins later and Ford led One Step Away Select 2030 to a successful weekend. Among Ford’s many positive hoops attributes include knowing when to score and when to pass, handling the ball with either hand, turning defense into offense and willing to fall to the floor to complete a play.

Ford ensured that her One Step Away Select 2030 team was in a spot to win on Friday evening at Marietta HS. Her speed and shiftiness with the ball in her hand can make her particularly tough for defenses to contend with. She also takes a fearless approach to attacking the basket and a 3-point shot is also an element of her offensive repertoire. Defensively, Ford understands the importance of keeping one’s hands and arms outstretched. Her playmaking abilities will attract plenty of double teams from opposing defenses. She added nine points to her team’s effort in what was an entertaining contest with Grind To Shine (GTS) Basketball 15U.
