The speedy lead guard is testing herself this spring with Lady Jets out of Texas on Adidas’ 3SSB circuit. As always her athleticism jumps off the screen. With breakneck play in transition, slashing in halfcourt and impressive hops for a smaller guard to snag boards. To build off a pair of strong high school seasons and her natural athleticism, Wilson is steadily improving as a shooter. Which was evident throughout her highlights, with made threes from a variety of games. Very promising signs for a 2028 guard who already makes her mark with energy and athleticism.

Wilson did her scoring damage in quick stretches. She went on a 6-0 run by herself in the second quarter. Including a pair of on the ball steals and then layups. Fittingly Piedmont led by six at the break. She kept it going with a five point stretch in the third quarter and then was quiet on the offensive end. After Watkins’ block, she sprinted down the floor to receive and outlet pass and lay up the game winner as time expired. What a clutch moment for the speed demon sophomore guard.

Even against Edmond North’s tough defense, Wilson was still able to consistently get paint touches. And even had a heck of a contested “and 1” finish in the third quarter. It was one of the highlights of her game, but her finishing at the rim was a mixed bag. Sometimes she got too deep into the teeth of a tall and tough North defense. Given her speed, she’s often be able to blow by the first defender. Especially as she has improved her “in and out” and other dribble moves. But understanding when to break out of a tear drop floater, pull up jumpers and other giant killer type moves will help her thrive against top competition.
Had similar teaching moments on the defensive end. While she’s a tenacious and quick on the ball defender, older more savvy players can at times take advantage of her aggressiveness. Improving her feel on both ends of the court will continue to allow her to rise and match her high potential given to her by her natural athletic gifts.

Wilson could not be contained to start the game. The quick lead guard diced up the Newcastle defense off the drive. She has a great first step and good balance on those drives. Displayed the same aggressive and tough mindset on defense as a pesky on the ball defender. Along with her own points, a game high 16 points, her efforts created good looks for her teammates. Recorded three steals, to puncate a strong performance from the all action guard.

Wilson is a blur in transition and shifty in the halfcourt. Hard to contain off the dribble, because not only can she get all the way to the rim to score. She has a very good 8-12 foot range game, with floaters, mid-ranges jumpers and more. Strong start to her sophomore campaign, building off a freshman season where she was Class 6A-2 District’s freshman of the year.

Najya play Saturday had scouts, fans and coaches walking away shaking their heads saying better watch out for that player. The combo guard was quick in pushing the ball baseline to baseline on fast breaks pushing as far as possible before making a good decision. The open court vision is on point with passes to the open backside player for easy baskets. The outside shooting proved that she could play the shooting guard spot as well making her a very versatile guard. The body language she displays is great and you can see her team feeds off that energy vibe.
Tough on the ball defender that applies pressure in the open creating steels leading to layups. Quick, physical and aggressive ball screens that can get though without having to switch. An all-around complete guard that has great basketball IQ on both ends of the floor. I am a firm believer that Najya will have a strong sophomore season and become on many coaches’ radar.

Quick guard that was very impressive in 3 on 3 as well as 5 on 5 play. Lighting quick up-tempo guard that pushes baseline to baseline. Najya game has continued to develop every time I have seen her play. The ability to shoot the jumper with the quick drive makes her a tough match up.

The 6a District 2 Freshman of the Year wasted no time this summer showing why she earned such an honor. The quick guard showed out in Arkansas among the college coaches in attendance. The combo guard is a scoring threat with a smooth step back jumper and crafty moves in the paint.

Speedy guard, who is clearly working on her perimeter shooting. Starting to look very confident with her stepback, extending all the way out to the three point line. Which is particularly tough to defend, as her speed already has defenders playing off. Along with the improved shooting, Wilson often played at a good tempo Saturday. Had the occasional youthful mistakes with wild moments, but generally played in control. All while going at a speed that few opponents can match.

As always, it starts with Wilson’s speed and quickness. Game changing by pushing in transition, while also shifty enough to carve up the defense in the halfcourt. Plays fast but mostly in control. Complete with two foot stops in the paint, where she’s capable of either hitting jumpers or making the right passes to open teammates. In the overtime victory, she also locked in on the ball defensively. Making a big stop in the extra period. Wilson had an impressive start to her high school career and is making more strides this spring to become a complete lead guard.
