Saturday felt like a turning point for Montgomery. This is the version people have been waiting to see. She played with purpose, made quick decisions, and stayed within herself the entire time. Nothing was forced. When the lane opened, she attacked. When it wasn’t there, she kept things moving and helped her team stay in rhythm. She did a great job of pushing pace and creating easy scoring chances. You could tell she was enjoying it, playing loose and confident with a smile that matched her play. That matters. On the defensive end, she brought energy and toughness. Active hands, physical presence, and the discipline to defend without fouling. When she plays like this, she impacts both ends in a real way. If this continues, she’s setting herself up for a strong summer.
