Expert Analysis
Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Olivia showed immediately that she’s a legitimate threat. Her quick-release threes kept Alta in it early, and her ball-handling showed she can get out of a defensive tight position. She created space, used her speed to attack gaps, and forced Mountain Ridge to build its defensive plan around slowing her down. She led Alta in all points for the night at 19, including four 3-pointers.

Olivia, a UVU commit, is a quick and agile guard who can create her own shot under pressure and knock it down from anywhere on the floor. Her release is smooth and confident, even when tightly defended. This season at Alta, she’ll form a dangerous trio alongside

When it comes to players to watch, you have to really be ready to see an improved player in Stephens on a new team. If you haven’t seen her play this offseason, you are missing out on a player who has figured it out. She plays with so much pace, but the way that she can switch gears and keep on-ball defenders guessing is impressive. I can see her just lighting it up this coming season. Alta is good and could be a dark horse in 5A.

Motor is unreal and the girls have hops. Stephens is a player who will play 100 MPH the entire game and dog a player full court on defense. She is one of the best players I’ve seen get to the paint and be able to play on that midrange. Her defense really gets things going. UVU picked up a very good PG that will be able to elevate and excel at the next level. She is a dynamic player, excelling in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game. Her relentless energy and skill set make her a valuable asset, poised for success at the collegiate level.
