Davis has a lot of girls to keep track of who can really play, and Gasseling might be the most unheralded player who just gets it done. She’s a strong post who displays some excellent work around the paint but also has the stroke to capitalize at the line and hit some midrange shots. She’s great at making tough catches in traffic, works her tail off on the glass, and anticipates rebounding opportunities by working for good position and having the strength to hold it.

She’s a name who should make a big rise in the next rankings update. Gasseling is a strong post who shows that strength and fight on the glass and can really move defenders out of the way to chase down boards. She moves well off the ball, playing mostly block-to-block but floats to space, finds lanes to dive, and can run in transition. She displays a pretty good IQ on both ends and should see a lot more minutes this season.
