The Mukwonago wing continued to play well for a 24:Up team even though they were playing with six players today due to various circumstances. Cochenet attacked the basket well and used her length to finish over the top of defenders around the rim. I also liked how well she used her athleticism to make plays on both ends of the floor. She had another solid showing this spring.

It’s easy to see why Peyton is touted as a top 10 prospect in her home state, and her length isn’t even the top needle mover. She is a true 6 footer, and although most matchups will have her in the low post area, this kid has the ability to be a real 3/4 at the next level. The ball handling is solid, and the playmaking is there. She’s mobile, athletic, and can cover ground on her drives in just a few steps and dribbles. With all of that, she can be utilized as a floor spacer on the offensive end, and as a paint blanket on the defensive end. High upside..

Few players turned as many heads as the Mukwonago product this past high school season, and I’m aware of at least one school that planned on seeing her in Pennsylvania this past weekend, and I’m sure they weren’t the only ones. You don’t often find players with the versatility to handle the ball, create off the dribble, finish around the basket, and guard multiple positions on the defensive end of the floor.

Over the past high school season, the Mukwonago native has been among the most significant risers in the 2028 class. The 6’1 wing is a versatile kid who handles the ball at a high level and can play as a creator with the ball in her hands or with her back to the basket, depending on the matchup. She’s an impressive athlete for her size, has already earned a D1 offer from Milwaukee, and could earn more over the course of the spring and summer.

The Mukwonago native is starting to become a player that I’d recommend most Division 1 schools in the Midwest to watch and at least take notes on. Cochenet is a late riser in terms of players coaches are starting to zero in on, but she has all the tools to play competitive basketball at a high level. She is a 6-1 or 6-2 wing who can handle the ball, get to the basket, and play through contact. There is plenty of room for her to grow as a player on both ends for sure. However, she is a player who can defend and guard multiple positions with her athletic tools and length. She’ll be a wing at the next level, but she will add defensive versatility and another good passer to any lineup she’s in.

Earlier I wrote about Peyton as one of my “Mid-Range Magicians” however she showed that same ability from the post. One of the taller players on the court, she showed nice touch, around the basket, strength to play through contact while still able to finish with either hand, as well as the quickness to get around smaller defenders.

I really liked what I saw from Peyton’s game, especially her ability to finish from 15 feet and in. Already a good finisher, around the hoop, she showed a nice ability to pull up, off the dribble, and consistently knock down contested jumpers. Averaging 8.1, as a Freshman, I expect her to easily be scoring in double figures this season!
