Peyton brought grit to the game. She is a physical guard who doesn’t back down and embraces contact. She got to her spots offensively and showed she can compete at a high level. The toughness stands out immediately. She is committed to Northwest College (WY).

Schlitz did everything she could to keep Horizon within striking distance. The senior shooting guard produced a strong all-around effort, finishing with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. She competed hard on both ends of the floor and consistently battled on the glass despite playing on the perimeter. Her effort and leadership kept the Huskies fighting throughout the game.

The senior guard has put together a strong season and is looking to cap her career with a deep run. Schiltz brings toughness and shot-making to the Huskies. She’s capable of heating up quickly, but what stands out is her competitiveness. She embraces defensive assignments and doesn’t shy away from big shots. In tournament basketball, you need seniors who aren’t afraid of the moment. Peyton fits that description.

Peyton reached a major milestone, hitting 1,000 career points in the game against Mountain Pointe. She poured in 23 points while adding 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks, showcasing her all-around impact in the same game.

Peyton has upped her stock with her performances as of late. When I saw her, she was both aggressive offensively and defensively. She scored from all three levels by using good ball-handling skills. On the defensive end, she played good on the ball defense and was constantly in the passing lanes.

Peyton is a skilled shooting guard who has improved her dribbling and handling of the ball overall. Her length allows her to see over smaller defenders, making her a better passer. As she continues to get stronger so will her overall game.
