Staples-Fairbanks has long been a talented player with a ton of potential, but when she adopts an aggressive mindset her impact rises dramatically. A varsity regular since 7th grade, the Cass Lake-Bena guard showed us this winter what she can be in a standout performance we watched live – a 24-point outburst at Visitation. Rayahna comes from a strong basketball family at Leech Lake and possesses excellent ball-handling ability. What stood out most was her relentlessness – constantly chasing loose balls and refusing to give up on plays. If that attacking mentality continues, Staples-Fairbanks has the tools to get to the next level.
