Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Snowden has been the engine for Lomega all year and had a stat sheet stuffing performance. 18 points, 14 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists. What’s crazy is it could’ve been even better as she missed some good looks around the rim. Still was effective at the basket and hitting multiple shots in the 10-15 range. Along with the scoring, she was often at the forefront of Lomega’s suffocating pressure defense. Her long arms and motor led to deflections and turnovers. Impressed when she grabbed a contested defensive board, split the crowd, pushed the tempo and set up a teammate for a three pointer. She’s earned her team a trip to the semifinals on Friday night.

Last season Lomega missed State, snapping a six year streak for the small town power house program. This year they’re 18-1, with their only loss coming to defending Class 3A champs, Washington. Snowden been a walking double double this season. A versatile wing prospect, she’s athletically one of the best players in Class B-1. With the skillset to match. Odds are Lomega is about to start another State Tournament streak, and the outstanding Snowden has them as the favorites to claim the Gold Ball.

14 point and 11 rebound double-double for the uber talented sophomore. Huge fourth quarter, an And-1 putback with under a minute left gave the Lady Raiders a 6 point lead to ice the game.

One of the most productive sophomores in the state, Snowden has Lomega off to a 7-0 start and the top spot in Class B2. She opened the season with a double double against Drummond. In a quality win over Okarche, she went for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Showing her ruggedness around the rim. She’s strong with the ball on offense, and hunts for blocks on defense. In a blowout win over Burlington, she showed the range form deep while going off from 20 points. Played in July with the Legynds program, proving that she’s not just a small town baller.

Snowden put up very impressive numbers for a tradition rich Lomega program. Including a 32 point outburst in the Cherokee Stripe title game. Plus an early season 18 point and 15 rebound performance against Drummond. The highlights are impressive, with legit size and good movement for her height. Runs the floor hard, and is very competitive as a rebounder on both ends of the floor. Has the look of a player who could become a 2k point career scorer.
