Thompson is just dominant, and if you haven’t seen her live yet…do yourself a favor. In Thursday’s action I watched her have two dominant outings: Game 1-18 points, and Game 2- 21 points. She’s, without a doubt, one of the best ’26s in the state…and few people seem to know who she is.

The ’26 continues to get better and better. She’s now becoming a more diverse scorer that is equipped to carry a heavier load….and do it efficiently. She knows when to pick her spots, and it eqally comfortable pulling from deep as she is attacking the rim.

The Memphis product is just a ’26 playing up. She’s still learning the system, but as an ISO scorer, really has a deep bag. Averaged 8 points per game at the Nook.

Widely regarded as the best ’26 PG in her class, I often fail to mention Thompson as she plays in Memphis (6 hours away). But that’s not her fault…the kid is a silky smooth playmaker with a dynamic change of pace game. Few players can stay in front of her 1 on 1 without needing a help defender. Great court vision, and teaming up nicely with junior guard Shelby Gray Shelby Gray 5'6" | PG Trezevant | 2025 State TN (Gray is a super-high scoring playmaker with multiple double doubles this season).

Thompson might be the best PG in the state regardless of class. Pause for a moment and go watch her highlights on the @CoachGWilliams twitter page (Coach Williams is the HC at Trezevant in Memphis). I knew that she was a guard that put up over 18 points a game as a freshman, but I didn’t know that she has some the best court vision of any HS guard I’ve seen. Once she gets into the paint, its a bucket: either she’s hitting a floater, a creative finish, or a dump-off pass to a big that you’re not sure how she saw. She’s just on another level! Most of us East TN basketball fans simply don’t know how good she is because of proximity. Get online and watch her play, and you’ll see while she’s so high regarded as a college prospect.
