Ruby’s attention to detail is outstanding! The way she watches her teammates cut to the basket and precisely passes to them, how she ties up the ball, gives up her body for loose balls- She is everywhere! As for her ability to score and overall defense? Don’t worry, she’s got that down too! (Below with ball)

Huntington North has some good young talent in their program, especially in the backcourt, but Ruby came in as a rookie this year and stood out as well along the frontline. She averaged 8.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a Freshman, and she should only get better as she continues to gain experience. She has a little skill facing the basket, but she’s much more effective and consistent around the basket. Her ability to control the paint will help the Lady Vikings as their perimeter shooters get shots up, but look for Ruby to also nearly double her scoring in the near future.

What a beautiful head fake, and taking it to the bucket with one dribble for two from the foul line !  Solid fundamentals! Ruby for three at the top of the key! That release is pure and quick! (Below fighting for rebound, in white jersey)

The Huntington North Lady Vikings have some talented younger players in their program right now, and they are willing to see them play and grow from the outset of their careers. Ruby is one of them, and she has been highly productive as a rookie this season. She is averaging 9.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocked shots per game, but she’s not solely an interior player. While she does provide some rebounding and defense inside the arc, she has also knocked down 21 3-pointers this season and is shooting a respectable 75% from the free throw line.

Big time leftie knockdown shooter from the perimeter, gets herself in the position well to score. She makes a great duo in the backcourt with Leffers, they work well together. Heading in her freshman season, she could have a very nice high school career ahead!
