Samara competed hard on both ends of the court at The Expo on Saturday to contribute for Team 10. She sprinted up the court to create transition offense and finished a full-speed catch and finish layup. Samara sealed her defender in the paint and used an effective drop step to cause a foul, then knocked down her free throw. Samara crashed the boards hard to secure an offensive rebound and stole the ball away to score a powerful layup off two feet.

Mackey is an athletic guard who can get downhill in a hurry. She was fighting for every rebound and had many offensive board for put-backs. She has many facets to her game and should be a big time contributor at Cass Tech this Winter.

It didn’t take long for Mackey to grab my attention when I hit her teams court. She went downhill and attacked the rim. Mackey made athletic moves and cuts and her movement looked free and unrestricted. I liked how everything went straight to the rim for her.
