Cyrus once again impressed running the point forward position for the majority of the game for Loganville Christian. A role she has mastered the last few years and one she will continue in college. Cyrus’ movement at her size is a rare quality. couple that with her ability to handle the ball and she is a matchup nightmare for almost every team that LCA plays. She is a walking double-double and when she asserts herself scoring the ball, Loganville Christian can play with anyone. Cyrus recently committed to her future home and that announcement should be coming very soon.
Cyrus continued to show that she can handle the ball and run the offense as a point forward. Her quickness caused a missed match against the bigger players guarding her. She knocked a down a couple tough midrange jump shots with a hand in her face. Cyrus also did a nice job rebounding the basketball.
Possibly the most dominant presence outside of the GHSA, Sanai has dumped in 23.2 points, 15.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.6 steals per game through her first five contests, leading the Lions to a perfect record. Cyrus has a terrific nose for the ball. She blends great strength and toughness with a versatile skill set. She’s a coast-to-coast threat upon clearing rebounds. In the half court, Cyrus can score on post-ups, isolations and pull-up jumpers. Her three-point range is a growing strength.
The versatile tweener thrives in transition. Cyrus rebounds and immediately looks to push, often going coast-to-coast. She has the handle to break down defenders and the confidence to pull up from deep. Physically strong, she carves out space and uses her body well when scoring inside. D-II programs have offered.
Up from 100: Powerful tweener forward creates mismatches. Strong, quick and skilled. Bangs inside for rebounds and putbacks. Attacks from the perimeter and goes coast-to-coast. Will knock down pull-up jumpers with expanding three-point range. Plays hard.
Sanai played tough this weekend in her home state. She’s a strong, physical forward that is incredibly hard to stop when she’s going downhill with her size, frame, and willingness to draw contact. Her handles and ability to shoot it from outside are really beneficial for her position since she’s a tweener standing under six foot tall at the 4 spot. That shooting ability allows her to stretch the floor and keep defenders honest though. Big upside with Sanai’s game!
Strong and versatile. Sanai plays both on the wing and in the post. She’s a physical rebounder that scores through contact. Cyrus is a coast-to-coast threat, a bowling ball when attacking the hoop in the full court. Will stretch the defense out with her three-point shot. Averaged 14.9 points, 13 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.5 steals. Shot 13-46 (28%) from three. Covenant College has offered.
Sanai brings a lot of potential to the court. She has a developing skill set and looked more than capable on the perimeter. She lead the break a few times during the games. She is a confident player and did not back down from an opportunity. With her build and mobility she’s a tweener that can play the interior forward position or the wing. I’m sure Dacula is excited to get her on the court this year.
