About Saniyah
Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
With one of the best handles in the state and quickness like a cat, Morrison is one of the toughest covers in Oklahoma. She has blow by speed with great touch on her floater that allows her to finish over taller foes. Her ability to get defenders on skates also opens up her mid-range game. Regional junior colleges have started to take notice of the dynamic abilities of Morrison. She’s picked up recent offers from Connors State, Northeastern Oklahoma and Baton Rouge Community College. More should come as she racks up big scoring numbers this winter, as one of the must watch players in the class.

After a great showing in the Class 5A State Tournament, Morrison remains a box office player. She’s quick, has the ball on a string and is going to serve opponents straight buckets. Good luck keeping her out of the lane and even then, she can stop on a dime with a lethal mid-range game. In the first of two wins for her Rebels squad, Morison was seemingly all buckets. While in the second contest, she combined her scoring powers with great feeds and chemistry with the Rebels’ strong post presence. Which is a great sign for the 918 standout’s future at the next level.

Game Watched: Shawnee, January 4th
After a slow start in the first half, Morrison was a relentless attacker and finisher at the rim in a double overtime victory. When her extended floater is working, she looks unstoppable as she drops teardrop finishes over defenders’ arms. Along with scoring on the ball, there was good examples of her working off the ball and coming off screens and attacking quickly. It’s the second viewing of the outstanding junior scorer, and her combination of quickness and handles are big time. She does require further monitoring, to see how she shoots it from distance. A key trait that will be needed for Morrison to be successful at the next level.
