The schedule for 1A Blackville-Hilda was certainly busier than it was two seasons ago – and the Hawks took full advantage of it. Brown helped Blackville-Hilda improve its win total from five to 12 – plus returning to the 1A state tournament. In the 17 games that Brown played, she was third on the team in both scoring (six points per game) and rebounding (5.6 boards per contest). Brown found her footing as the lone freshman on a Blackville-Hilda team that was mostly comprised of seniors and juniors. In addition to playing basketball, Brown also competes in track and field at Blackville-Hilda.

The Hawks of 1A Blackville-Hilda played more games this season than in its 2024-25 campaign and improved its win total from five to 12. Brown played an integral role in improving the Hawks’ fortunes. In the 17 contests where Brown proudly sported Blackville-Hilda’s signature burgundy and gold hues, she averaged six points and 5.6 rebounds. Brown was the lone freshman on what was a very veteran-laden Hawks team and helped Blackville-Hilda qualify for this past season’s 1A state tournament.
