The schedule for 1A Blackville-Hilda was certainly busier than it was two seasons ago – and the Hawks took full advantage of it. Brown helped Blackville-Hilda improve its win total from five to 12 – plus returning to the 1A state tournament. In the 17 games that Brown played, she was third on the team in both scoring (six points per game) and rebounding (5.6 boards per contest). Brown found her footing as the lone freshman on a Blackville-Hilda team that was mostly comprised of seniors and juniors.
