The star of Durham Academy had a really solid 2023-2024 campaign as she showed her ability to consistently run the team’s offense. She has a strong knack of knowing what to do when the ball is in her hands. She is a pass-first guard that looks to get others involved. She is really good in pick and roll situations and does a good job of drawing in the help defender then recognizing where the open teammate is for a shot. She can slow the game down when needed and knows how to get herself out of trouble when the double comes. This is a prospect that could have a very strong summer with Carolina All-Stars and we’ll be keeping our eyes on her.

Sarra Abdelbarr is excellent at controlling the tempo. She can grab rebounds herself pushing them up the court, and she knows when to slow things down allowing her teammates to set up an offensive set. She does a nice job moving without the ball finding the gaps and staying ready to put up her shot, and she can create her own space off the dribble.
