Lund’s game has grown significantly since I watched her play last summer. The 5’9 guard has gotten stronger, adding a significant amount of muscle to her frame. She’s also playing more assertively on both ends of the floor. In a matchup against Southern MN Fury this weekend, Shannon was tasked with guarding the post. Though she gave up plenty of height, the Northern Lights guard stepped up the the challenge, using her physicality to maintain balance down low and protect the paint. On the other end of the floor, the Cromwell-Wright senior showed off a wide variety of offensive tools. Lund knocked down shots from the perimeter, made pull-up jumpers in the midrange, and showed off a smooth step-through move in the lane.
