Expert Analysis
Byron Xerxes Livsey | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Still one of the purest shooters in this class, Shea has been shining in a more dominant role since arriving at WWS. Multiple high-point games, but the defense is what St. Francis might be most excited about when she lands on campus.

Carver has been known for her ability to shoot from beyond the arc at a high clip. However, I think what she does without the ball is starting to stand out a bit more. Defensively, she has solid foot speed that allows her to rotate and or recover quickly, and she has the length to cover guards as well. On the boards, she’s good for pulling down at least 4-6 boards a game, and half of those result in second opportunities for her team. She has the skillset that can be plugged into multiple schemes, and she’ll find a way to make an impact.

One of the best shooting performances on the night. Shea finished the game with 18. Behind the arc is where she did a majority of her damage (4-7). Huge confidence boost going into the spring AAU season.

Carver’s role on the Montini program shifts depending on the possession, but what remains consistent is her ability to stretch the floor and defend multiple style guards. Shes active on the boards, and aware on the defensive side. The IQ is present on both sides of the ball. A player to watch on the Broncos program.

Carver has one of the most fluid shots in this class, let alone the state and this year it’ll be on display even more. She’s a rebounding machine with a strong motor, that plays every possession with purpose. Her skillset isn’t fancy, but it gets the job done. Shea makes plays, she scores, and has the energy and focus to defend who ever is in front of her.

A talented 2 guard that crashes the boards relentlessly. Carver’s has improved throughout the summer, and it was on display during the Broncos 3rd game against the host team. A flawless release from behind the arc mixed with strong ball handling skills to get to the rim, is always key for off ball guards. Defensively her length, and toughness allows her to guard multiple positions when needed. She can play the passing lines, stay on ball with focus and discipline. It also gives her the ability to be heavily impactful on both sides of the board. Her skill set is adaptable to all situations.
