Jones continues their quest for four straight State Titles and Woodson was the main contributor throughout.  She controlled the paint on both ends of the court. Once she got herself established on the low block, it was seemingly automatic for the senior. It was similar with the way she secured rebounds. Even when she wasn’t the one to get second chance opportunities for the Lady Longhorns, the attention Alva had to pay her opened up rebounding opportunities for the whole team.  With soft touch to go along her height, the senior is a force to be reckoned with around the basket.

Sofi is a long presence in the paint at the power forward and center position. She works inside for position, using her body to seal defenders in the paint. If fronted, she knows how to use her body to keep them high –  and give her teammates a target to pass over the defense and finish at the rim. She moves really well for her size and will display her athleticism in the open floor – running from rim to rim. Sofi’s mid-range shot is underrated, shooting it in the high post and short corner really well. I would like to see Sofi more aggressive in the paint because she has the potential to make a huge impact for her team if she increases her production inside. She is definitely a player I will have my eye on moving forward.
