About Spencer

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High IQ point guard who can distribute and score on all three levels as well as control the game on offensive and defensive ends.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Steady and focused working well under pressure. I thrive against tough competition and stay locked in throughout the game. My teammates would describe me as a leader on the court and fun and social off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

-Westfield PAL Girls Flag Football assistant coach -Westfield PAL Travel Girls Flag Football -8th grade Middle School Volleyball Received Most Aces Award -Peer Leader at Edison Intermediate School -Volunteer with Blue Star Basketball and Westfield Champions for Children with Special Needs -Journalist for Edison Insider

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership—being a voice on the court and talking with teammates pre and post game, developing close relationships with my coaches and trainers to grow my game and support my teammates Teamwork—working to consistently to improve my game while making my teammates better Community Service—Jr Leader in Westfield PAL, help run Women’s Breast Cancer Awareness Game, Food/Clothing Donations Volunteer

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A few years ago my Westfield basketball team was undefeated and we were heading into the playoffs when I broke my wrist. I thought my season was over and I was most disappointed I let my teammates down. However, my doctor gave me permission to play in my cast with a cast protector. My finger tips barely reached the ball, but I was able to push through and help my teammates win the championship.

What type of college are you looking for?
