About Susie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart, team-first player with strong court awareness, passing, and ball handling. I take pride in defense, rebounding, boxing out, and making the right play. I can guard multiple positions and work hard to impact the game through effort, hustle, and consistency.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Steady, determined, and hardworking. I am competitive but not overly emotional, and I try to lead by example. I love trying new things, but I also know how to manage my time and set boundaries so I can give my best effort in basketball, school, and activities.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an honors student with a strong GPA and have earned Student of the Month, a Core Award, and an Outstanding Achievement Art Fair Award. I play violin in Chamber Strings/Honor Orchestra, co-founded Endangered Animal Club, and am in the 8th grade play.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership, teamwork, time management, and perseverance. I try to support teammates, communicate, and lead by example. Through orchestra and clubs, I have learned to help younger students, organize activities, include others, and contribute to my school community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge has been joining new teams where many players already knew each other. I have learned how to adapt quickly, earn trust, communicate, and find ways to contribute. Playing with different teammates has made me more versatile, coachable, and confident in any team setting.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can be challenged academically, grow as a basketball player, and be part of a strong team culture. I am interested in high-academic schools, but I also want to consider schools closer to home in Colorado and the region.
