Horace is going to be incredibly difficult to defend next season. Horace has a ton of playmakers and having players like Sydney on the floor helps create driving lanes for those playmakers. Sydney does her role for the Hawks to perfection. She is tasked with defending and hitting down open shots. Last season she shot an impressive 41.7% from behind the arc. She gets her feet and hands ready to hit those open three pointers. She is a terrific defender who plays really hard. The Hawks have typically been a pressing team in recent years and Sydney is really good at putting the heat on opponents in the full-court.

Sydney was typically the first off of the bench for Horace and did a great job filling that 6th man role. She fit in great with the Hawks full-court defensive pressure and made things really difficult for opponents. Her active hands were really tough and made passing lanes hard to see. She is a steady ball-handler and was able to help relieve handling duties from Horace’s starting point guard. Sydney is also a sniper from deep, shooting the three at 42% on the season.
