Coming off a 23-point performance against top-ranked Milford in the sub-district final, Homolka scored 21 points in a 54-26 district final win over Raymond Central on Friday night. The 5-9 wing has turned her game up in the past two weeks to lead the Bison to their first-ever state tournament appearance. On Thursday, they get a rematch with Milford, who hung on for a 44-43 win the first time around. An elite three-sport athlete, Homolka’s basketball stock continues to rise.

Another junior that should be on college coaches radar, Homolka nearly carried the Bison to the victory. She scored 17 of the Bison’s 25 second half points and has a variety of moves from the wing that got both Miller and Rautenberg airborne during this contest. Homolka was 8-for-15 from the field and 6-for-6 from the line during the game and added six rebounds and three assists. She has season averages of 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 steals per contest. A three-sport athlete, Homolka also attracts volleyball interest, and both coaches at a small school should be willing to let her play both sports.
