The mantra of “it’s not how one starts but how one finishes” certainly applied to Scott and her Carolina Smoke 15U assembling over the weekend. Following a rocky start to Southeast Kickoff weekend on Saturday, Scott willed her bunch to a pair of wins on Sunday to finish the weekend. Considering she has the ball handling and rim attacking skills of a point guard and the long range accuracy of a two, Scott thrives as a combo guard. Rebounding and making plays in the transition game are also positives. With Hoggard graduating four seniors from its 2025-26 version that won an East Region championship, Scott is set to be one of the next women up for the Vikings.

Carolina Smoke 15U’s Southeast Kickoff did not exactly have a promising start as the team was on the wrong end of a blowout loss to Fire Ball Basketball Academy. Scott still put forth a valiant effort to give her team a chance. She is a fearless attacker of the rim and does not shy away from attempting tough shots. Hauling in rebounds is another positive attribute to Scott’s game. Scott can particularly make plays in transition and has no issues drawing contact that can put her at the free throw line. She is coming off a 2025-26 season where she played 16 games for a Hoggard team that won an East Regional 8A championship.
