The Versatile Combo Guard is #15 in the rankings. She is the returning starter for MBA. However, she had an injury early in the season and missed a large bulk of the games. Her first game back was during the District 15AA Semi-Finals. Tarrin looked as if she hadn’t missed a game. She came off the bench into the point guard role. From there, she moved off the ball as a scorer getting to the basket, free throw line and putting up 3s.

Combo Guard. I hadn’t seen MBA play since the MLK Tournament and it seemed like each time I saw them there was 1 less player available to play due to injury. This game, they looked to have a full squad available to play. It also happened to be Tarrin’s first game back on the court since November. She came off the bench and was ready. She started out in the PG spot patiently directly her teammates. Then moved off the ball as a scorer getting to the basket, free throw line and putting up 3s. Defensively, she has very quick feet and used them to contain the opposing quick guard.

Hungry and athletic PG who creates havoc on both ends of the floor. She is a trooper and can infiltrate a defense by taking her opponent off the dribble or knocking down the open shot. She is a tough defender who creates a lot of chaos and confusion. Her game has grown over the year, and she will look to build upon a solid summer. Keep an eye on this young lady as she becomes one of Memphis’ top guards in the area.

#12 Point Guard. Tarrin averaged 12.9 points and 5.4 assists per game for Memphis Business Academy last season. Tarrin played in one of the Memphis Fall Leagues and showed her 3 point shooting and abilities to find teammates. I attended her team’s 1st game in the MLK Tournament. She didn’t start the game. When she entered the game, her team was down 24-17. Having her on the floor made such an impact, that when she entered the game, the game turned around and they won. This season she will have help in the point guard spot, which will give her the opportunity to play off the ball and in a scorer role.
