One can count on Postel to bring it for four quarters (or two halves) in every game she plays – whether it is wearing the dark green and Vegas gold of the 4A Copperheads or the purple of Lady Attack Elite during the travel season. What makes Postel so effective is her versatility. She is a tall 5-foot-11 and has the frame of a four or a five while logging plenty of minutes as a one or two guard. Postel keeps her hands and arms outstretched on defense as she has plenty of length. She can switch on who she defends and can put points on the scoreboard via finishing at the rim or shooting from range. Rebounding and passing are two other strong points of her game. Postel finished with 25 points (including seven from 3-point land) in a resounding Copperheads effort against 2A Chesterfield.

Postel brings commitment and hustle around the paint area where she feels most comfortable at times. Tatum has been a fixture since the doors opened at Catawba Ridge. She averaged 8.7 ppg and 4.9 rebounds last season for the Lady Copperheads. Tatum runs track in the spring while playing with Lady Attack Elite on the Grassroots Circuit. She is great glue player on a team – does all the little things that need to be done at times.

Postel is a multi-sport athlete who also participates in track and field alongside her basketball work. She is coming off an AAU spring and summer where she ran grassroots alongside Lady Attack Elite – one of the more respected travel squads in the Carolinas. She combines her primary position of guard with the stature of many threes and fours at 5-foot-10. Postel puts emphasis on taking care of the ball, making effective passes and finding ways to score. Rebounding and shot blocking are also a couple of Postel’s strong suits. Postel played a major role in the Copperheads’ run to the 4A Upper State Finals.
