A 22-4 season like the one put together by the Blue Jackets of 3A Aynor will certainly raise plenty of eyebrows. Richardson was one of the key catalysts of Aynor’s success this past season that included finishing only behind Dillon in the region standings. The Lady Sonics product concluded her high school career having reached the 1,000-point plateau for her stellar career. Richardson is one of three seniors that are part of Aynor’s 2026 graduating class. She played in 26 games this past season for Aynor and averaged a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds plus 4.2 steals and 3.9 blocks per contest. 

There are not too many better ways to finish a high school career with an exclamation point than by saving one’s best for last. Richardson was key in Aynor putting together a 20-win campaign and the 28 points she scored to dispatch Swansea continued the Blue Jackets’ winning ways. Richardson primarily plays as a three forward but her versatility can give her plenty of minutes as a guard. She is averaging a double-double of 18.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game in addition to 4.2 steals and four blocks per contest. The Blue Jackets will resume tournament play in the second round against Fox Creek. 

Richardson helped Aynor earn its second region victory of the season by tallying 14 points in what was an entertaining 47-38 victory over Waccamaw. The Warriors’ defense managed to contain Richardson in the first half – which is why Waccamaw had a 23-13 lead over the Blue Jackets at the break. Richardson had 10 of her 14 in the second half. She understands the art of finding driving lanes to the basket and finishing strong at the rim. Over the years, she has also excelled as a rebounder, ball hawk and shot blocker. Richardson is one of three seniors on this year’s Blue Jackets team.
