Newman Catholic posted a respectable record last season, winning a majority of their contests before getting to the Post season. Someone for this group, that should be a mine producers once again this season at the PG position is Tess Weiner. Weiner is a better than average scoring threat on offense, she knows how to defend like her life depends on it every night, she gets joy out of assisting others as much as she does as scoring the ball herself at times, and she makes everyone else around her better overall because of her play. There is a lot to like out of Weiner and how she plays the game. She plays it the right way and that could take her places in the future. Last season as a Junior she had 139 Assists in 23 games, ranking her #10 in Iowa in total Assists. An accomplishment she should be proud of but not satisfied with moving into this Winter.
