Tessa has size working in her favor, and she complements it with the ability to get vertical and play above the rim of her competition. Defensively, she uses that length well, deflecting entry passes and disrupting post players trying to establish position on the block.

What also stood out was her defensive discipline. She stays low, moves her feet well, and maintains solid positioning, allowing her to be effective without overcommitting. On the offensive end, she’s a reliable option as a screener and a dish target around the basket, giving her teammates a dependable outlet in the half-court offense.

As her touch around the rim continues to develop and soften, expect her scoring numbers to rise. The physical tools are already there, and as the offensive side of her game catches up, she has the potential to become a very impactful player on both ends of the floor.

Duke showed some flashes while posting up and occupying space. Although she didn’t receive many opportunities to get to the basket, she consistently gets low and presents a strong target. When she doesn’t receive a pass, she pushes out and finds ways to score. She should be great for Taylorsville this season.

Duke has the physical attributes to really turn things up and Taylorsville will depend on her as a young prospect coming up. She did not produce a lot of points last season but we expect her to rise here coming up in the high school season.
