About Tianna
Expert Analysis
Brandon Bradley | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
There were just nine uncommitted 2025s in attendance, but I felt like Tianna played well regardless of which class she was in. She is such a strong perimeter player that she absorbs contact well, but yesterday she also finished through contact with either hand around the basket consistently. She facilitated well in the halfcourt, and she knocked down the open rhythm jumpers she was able to get set on. She always plays with an outstanding motor, and she is a more than willing and capable defensive player. She had a strong day.

Tianna is in her second year at Cathedral, after transferring in from North Central, and she is primed for a big Winter. She is a strong, athletic, versatile guard who can do a variety of things offensively. She can handle it and initiate the offense, she is an aggressive North/South driver, plus she can knock down an open rhythm jumper. Defensively, she plays with a sense of urgency, she can defend on or off the ball, plus she’s an effective rebounder for her position. Additionally, she always plays with an outstanding motor.

Tianna faced an incredibly tough matchup Friday in their Under Armour “showcase” game, but I felt like she was always engaged, aggressive, plus she also played with great poise and handled pressure well. I especially liked how she was instinctive and assertive against full-court pressure, plus she didn’t hesitate when driving/scoring opportunities presented themselves. She has proven to be a high-motor kid who seems to enjoy sitting down and defending, so she affects the game at both ends of the floor. Look for her to have a nice Senior season for the Irish in 2024-2025.

Tianna was a transfer student this past season, coming to the Irish from nearby North Central. She gave an immediate boost to the rotation, because she is an extremely hard-working player. She gets out and runs the floor both directions, she is willing to play with physicality, even battle forwards defensively, when necessary, plus she makes a lot of hustle plays, gets on the floor, take charges, etc. Additionally, she has a balanced all-around offensive skillset.
