Basana has the rare mix of size, athleticism, and skill that college coaches dream about at night. Basana, who is committed to Providence College, also has power and strength that is rare in high school. Basana explodes off the floor whether it’s blocking shots, snatching rebounds, or elevating over the defense to score. Her ability to elevate at over six foot is rare in the women’s game, which made her such a coveted college prospect. Basana combines those physical tools with experience and maturity. She plays within herself and is very efficient. I would not be surprised to see her playing professionally in a few years. Physically she is as gifted as any player in Georgia.

Every time I watch Voldie play she does something athletically that most other player her size simply cannot do. Early in this game she quickly lept high in the air to grab a missed shot on the offensive end and as soon as her feet hit the floor she sprang right back, high into the air, above everyone else and got an easy outback. She had a couple other plays very similar, but the vertical leaping ability that she showed was truly remarkable. Voldie used that ability to clean the glass, block and alter shots, and elevate over defenders to score. Voldie has a very high ceiling and could be a major contributor for Providence sooner than later.

Basana is a very athletic player with great length and leaping ability. She attacked the offensive glass multiple times and scored on easy putbacks. Basana played outstanding defense guarding the other team’s best player the whole night mostly on the perimeter showing her ability to move as a post player.

Strong power forward that is a force inside on offense and hard to move out of the block on defense. Amazing footwork in the post being patience at times in the low post area. Runs the floor great looking for the early post up. Gave her defender a very sweet up and under move on the post for the easy basket. Fierce rebounder on both ends of the floor making her a double double every time she hits the court. First time seeing this young lady play but got me doing some research. Enjoyed watching her work inside
