One thing is for sure: There is a lot of high level talent in Michigan’s 2019 class. Top notch prospects can be seen at almost every position, size, and skill set. That being said, can any rise to the ultimate level? Which of these senior stars could we be watching in the WNBA someday? Let’s take a look at 7 high school stars that we may be watching in the professional ranks in the future. [player_tooltip player_id="2388" first="Julia" last="Ayrault"] (Small Forward, Grosse Pointe North) Ayrault is a classic matchup nightmare on both ends of the floor. She attacks the rim and finishes through contact. Ayrault has the size and skill set that could transfer to any level. [player_tooltip player_id="2386" first="Rickea" last="Jackson"] (Forward, Detroit Edison) Jackson is simply special. She’s one of the most versatile athletes in the country. Jackson can hunt shots and deliver from almost anywhere on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="22322" first="Moira" last="Joiner"] (Point Guard, Heritage) Joiner is as good of a ball handler as you’ll find, probably in the country. She can lead a break and beat pressure by herself. Joiner can score and distribute in transition. [player_tooltip player_id="2469" first="Jasmine" last="Powell"] (Point Guard, Detroit Country Day) Powell is an extraordinary athlete. Next to [player_tooltip player_id="2386" first="Rickea" last="Jackson"], she’s probably the best 1-on-1 player in Michigan. Powell is an explosive player who is fun to watch. Jenae Terry (Point Guard, Wayne Memorial) Terry is coming off a tremendous summer. She became one of the best floor generals in the state. Terry can score and distribute, making her a versatile player who is always a threat to impact the game. [player_tooltip player_id="22327" first="Taylor" last="Williams"] (Forward, Macomb Dakota) Williams isn’t flashy, but she’s always productive. She has good size and strength, and can score from the post or the perimeter. Williams is an outstanding rebounder who is always active on the glass. [player_tooltip player_id="22323" first="Alyza" last="Winston"] (Point Guard, Muskegon) Winston is an explosive player, the kind that belongs on TV. She can pass from the perimeter and the post. Winston is at her best in an up tempo game.
