Last season was an unquestionable success for <strong>Joiner</strong>. She led her Saginaw Heritage squad to a Class A State Championship, the school’s first since 2002. <strong>Joiner </strong>averaged 16ppg, 8rpg, 6apg, and 4spg. She earned 1st Team All Saginaw Valley League honors, and was named the SVL Player of the Year. <strong>Joiner </strong>was recognized as the Saginaw News Girls Basketball Player of the Year. She is a 3 time Associated Press All-State player. In 2017-2018, <strong>Joiner </strong>took home the AP Class A Player of the Year honor. While earning plenty of Division 1 scholarship offers, the decision was clear. When Michigan State offered, <strong>Joiner </strong>accepted.
