She is ranked as the class of 2019’s 53rd best prospect in the country in ESPN Hoopgurlz Top 100. That is considered number 13 at her position.
Last season was an unquestionable success for <strong>Joiner</strong>. She led her Saginaw Heritage squad to a Class A State Championship, the school’s first since 2002. <strong>Joiner </strong>averaged 16ppg, 8rpg, 6apg, and 4spg. She earned 1st Team All Saginaw Valley League honors, and was named the SVL Player of the Year. <strong>Joiner </strong>was recognized as the Saginaw News Girls Basketball Player of the Year. She is a 3 time Associated Press All-State player. In 2017-2018, <strong>Joiner </strong>took home the AP Class A Player of the Year honor.
While earning plenty of Division 1 scholarship offers, the decision was clear. When Michigan State offered, <strong>Joiner </strong>accepted. This fulfilled her dream of playing Big 10 college basketball. <strong>Joiner </strong>is part of an MSU recruiting class that features fellow local stars <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="2388" first="Julia" last="Ayrault"] </strong>(Grosse Pointe North) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="22323" first="Alyza" last="Winston"] </strong>(Muskegon).

She wants to be coached and takes in the game of basketball like a sponge. <strong>Joiner </strong>is incredibly focused and devoted to improving herself as a player and doing whatever it takes for her team to win. She is a natural athlete who is simply quicker, faster, and stronger than most.
<strong>Joiner </strong>is best defined as a player by her versatility. In high school, she can play anywhere on the floor. She should be able to effectively play both guard positions, and even small forward, in college. <strong>Joiner </strong>can defend on the perimeter or in the paint. Her physical style of play and her excellent physical condition allows her to body bigger opponents. <strong>Joiner </strong>routinely guards the other teams best player, regardless of what position they play. She plays disciplined team defense as well. <strong>Joiner </strong>is always contributing in some way, routinely hitting the stat sheet in every category. <strong>Joiner </strong>can put her teammates in scoring position and deliver the ball with precision. She can play any position at any pace, but thrives in a quick game with an open floor. <strong>Joiner </strong>can drain a jumper from mid range and behind the arc.
