South Vermillion
Chloe Rippy – 5’4 SG – 2021
Rippy was pretty solid in this one. She isn’t going to jump off the chart at you, but she does a lot of things really well that don’t show up in the stat sheet. Rippy made some shots and was good at attacking the rim when the opportunity was there. She isn’t ever going to blow you away but will always find a way to make a few plays a game. Solid outing from the off ball guard. – 11 points, 4 assists, 4 steals
Mallory Hawkins – 5’9 W – 2020
This wasn’t Hawkins best night on offense and because of that was forced to do a few different things. Hawkins is playing out of position right now and is playing on the ball. She is going to be much better in college because she’ll slide to her true wing position. Very smart player with the basketball and is a tough rebounder. Small school prospect at this time.
Jenna Myers – 5’8 W – 2020
Myers was just a little bit slow out of the gate and I expected a little more from her in this one. She scored a little and rebounded a little but I never saw that flash that I had expected to see from her. Myers does have the ability to play really well each game, but with so many players playing out of position I don’t think that we will see that from her in high school. – 4 points, 4 rebounds
Abby Grange – 5’6 SG – 2021
One word to describe Grange’s game: wow. She was crazy hot from behind the arc and was 8/8 in the game. She played JV earlier and had 19 points and five 3s. A really good shooter who does have a bit of potential as a small school spot up shooter. Next step in development will be putting the ball on the floor to create opportunities for herself and others. Puts herself in good positions to receive the ball. – 24 points
Attica
Karissa Pluimer – 6′ W – 2019
Pluimer was really good in this one. She is a tall and athletic wing who could play a bit of point forward at the next level. Really solid looking jumper and doesn’t hesitate to pull up and shoot the ball. Solid playing off the ball or on the ball. Didn’t play travel ball but the potential here for her is really high at the next level. – 13 points, 9 rebounds
Naomi McDaniel – 6’1 PF – 2019
McDaniel was a woman amongst girls in the game as she just continued to bully South Vermillion. The Parkland CC commit was tough down low but she can also pop out and hit a 3-pointer. Very athletic and fluid with the ball and has great body control when going up for a shot under the basket in traffic. She’s going to be molded into a LM player after two years at Parkland but will need to prove that the softness has left. – 26 points, 21 rebounds
CeCe Rice – 5’7 SG – 2022
Rice was a very solid piece for Attica and she is only a freshman. Shoots the ball really well already and had a four points play on a foul. Rice is one of those players who isn’t going to do much other than shoot the ball as a freshman, but you can see that the frame can do more. Rice is a player who has a bit of upside and as she gets more time with the ball she might impress some people. – 9 points
Charlie Moore – 5’6 PG – 2021
Moore is the starting point guard for Attica and she does handle the ball pretty well. Thin but quick with the ball. Adds a bit of a scoring touch with her game as well. Does a bit of everything and her command of the offense under pressure was pretty solid. A point guard to keep an eye on. – 5 points
