Thursday, we released the inaugural 2030 watchlist on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana, and we gave you a rundown position by position of the 50 girls who appear at this time. However, this coming Monday also marks the beginning of the high school season, as games begin. With that said, I went back through the 2030 watchlist, and I wanted to highlight five ladies who I feel could be the most impactful for their high schools once the 2026-2027 season begins.

The Lady Cats of North Harrison High School were just 5-17 a season ago, not to mention they graduated three of their top five scorers, including Scarlett's older sister, Grace Goldman, who was a 20.4 point-per-game scorer. Scarlett should fit in immediately as a top scoring option, pairing nicely with [player_tooltip player_id='1259577' first='Olivia' last='Brown'] around the perimeter. Scarlett has a solid frame, she can attack and create contact, but she also has some touch around the perimeter. At the same time, she'll likely have to handle it some and initiate the offense, so finding a nice balance will be key to a big season offensively.

In recent memory, Western Boone's best seasons have tended to revolve around great guard play. In steps Adalyn, and she's hoping to improve a program who was 9-15 last year and graduated their #2 through #6 scorers. Adalyn is a very quick, fast, and active guard who likes to play fast. She also possesses good length, and she does a solid job of absorbing contact as she attacks the basket. Why it's ideal for her to use her speed and outrun opponents, she'll also need to find balance as a point guard to get [player_tooltip player_id='834948' first='Ally' last='Lewis'] and others involved.

The Princeton Tigers were competitive last season, posting a 16-9 record, but they also graduated their top three players, all guards averaging 9.0 to 19.0 points per game. Additionally, 6-1 front-liner [player_tooltip player_id='756242' first='Alexis' last='Kermode'] is now a full-time volleyball kid. The Tigers do have a really nice Freshman class, however, Nova actually fell in their lap, moving in from the West Coast where she was ready to make a name for herself on the court. She isn't too big, but she has length, speed and quickness, plus playmaking ability. She'll likely have a lot of freedoms in running the offense, creating for others, and knocking down shots.

Quinn is the lone Class 4A prospect on this list, as it's hard for any Freshman to break into a lineup and make a huge impact. Quinn, however, is a bit special. She has a great deal of skill, talent, height, and length. Not only could she start for Brownsburg this year, but I think she could finish the year as their leading scorer. Consider this...the top three scorers from 2025-2026 graduated, and four of their top five. The only returnee in that cluster is [player_tooltip player_id='1263941' first='Ava' last='Emberton'], their point guard. Quinn's combination of size, skill, and talent should allow her to stand out immediately as she can create mismatches each time she enters.

Laila and her teammates will have the entire town of Hebron following them throughout their careers. The Hawks didn't even field a team in 2023-2024 due to low numbers, and they've been just 7-38 over the past two seasons combined. In comes Laila, and she alone is a draw, as a handful of other girls have transferred in to play with her. She is extremely quick, fast, and shifty. She is an absolute playmaker with the ball in her hands, and she's one of the most entertaining watches you will see. I have no doubt Hebron will win its share of games, but there are some other good Class 1A teams in Northwest Indiana.
