The Prep Girls Hoops 2019 prospect rankings were recently released. It’s obvious that the class is deep and full of talent. As we all know, prospect rankings are an ever-changing process. There are guards in the class of 2019 that are making a serious push to jump into the top 50.

Prep Girls Hoops Ranking: #51
Beckman finds buckets and can score in bunches. She has over 1600 career points at Shelby High School. Beckman is an incredibly efficient shooter, knocking down just shy of 50% of her career field goals. Beckman belongs in the top 50 and can expect to make a jump in the rankings.

Prep Girls Hoops Ranking: #53
Nelson is athletic and crafty with the ball. She’s a dynamic shooting guard who can get buckets, but is also a solid passer. Nelson is a top notch defender who is on the brink of reaching 300 career steals.

Prep Girls Hoops Ranking#55
Barnes is a Toledo commit that transferred from to Cleveland, Ohio. The longer she is here, the more people in Michigan are realizing exactly how good she really is. Barnes is an athletic player that can effectively line up at either guard position. She may take the largest jump forward in the senior class and won’t be outside the top 20 for long.

Hinton is a floor general who makes an excellent team leader. She’s a physical player who scores through contact and is a strong rebounding guard. Hinton is a versatile player who can guard multiple positions on the perimeter and in the paint.

Prep Girls Hoops Ranking: #57
Rzepka is a well rounded player who stands out on both ends of the floor. She is tough to guard because of her ability to score in so many ways. Rzepka can hit a jumper or crossover and go right to attack the rim.

Prep Girls Hoops Ranking: #60
Eckhout is a skilled point guard who can set up the offense and find an open teammate, or score when needed. She is a seasoned veteran who is in her fourth year of varsity basketball. Eckhout is a well conditioned athlete who can log heavy minutes.

Russell is an athletic guard who can manufacture scoring opportunities. She has a mechanically sound jumper. Russell can use a shot fake to drive and finish at the basket.

As a junior, King helped lead Kingsley to an undefeated regular season. She has proven throughout her high school career that she can be counted on in big moments of a game. King will be looked at as the go-to scorer in her senior season.

Prep Girls Hoops Ranking: #65
Nesbitt is a key leader for 1st year varsity head coach Brian Merritt. She has a nice looking jumper from behind the 3 point line. Nesbitt is an excellent perimeter defender who relishes the role of defensive stopper.
