The post and wing prospects in the 2019 class still have lots of fabulous prospects. That makes the top prospects who are still uncommitted even more valuable to college programs. Here are the best-unsigned post/wings in the state!
Tianna Johnson (Richwoods) W/F The heart and soul of the defending state champ's Peoria Richwoods. Tianna is one of the most versatile players in the state and can literally do everything on the basketball court. She rebounds great and her defensive awareness is a rarity at the high school level. Offensively she has shown she can play multiple positions she can attack closeouts, make open jump shots and play in the pick and roll as well. She has been this year Ms. DoItAll. Sadie Bueker (Teutopolis) W/F Bueker runs the floor well and has a really good touch in the paint. Bueker is also a solid rebounder and a great floor spacer with her outside shooting. Nosa Igiehon (Wheeling) C Top unsigned post in the state of Illinois for the senior class by a significant margin. The Quality rebounder with his strong hands and frame. She runs the floor hard. Finishes with strength around the hoop. Ali Berg (Bishop McNamara) C Berg has shown good footwork in the post with glimpses of a nice faceup game. Rebounds in volumes and has showed she can be a good rim protector. Kailyn Northrup (Mahomet) W Kailyn is a tough guard/wing that rebounds really good for her position. Her athleticism she attacks closeouts very well and is a really good aerobic finisher in the paint. Tabetha Jones (Kankakee) F/C Versatility is the key for Jones game. She can do a multi of things on the court she passes the ball well from the mid-post area. She is not a good but a superior mid-range shooter. She's really good with the pick and pop game. On the defensive end, she can switch screens and has really active hands on the perimeter. On the post with her great positioning and active hands makes it hard for any opponent to have success while Jones is guarding them. Keshauna Pitts (Kankakee) G/W Pitts is a tough guard that is a blur off the dribble. She plays way bigger than her size and defensively she is a lockdown on the ball defender. Kennedy Bauer (Watseka) F/C Bauer is post player that is best fit in a system that plays through her. She has good vision and can pass out of double teams. She also has phenomenal footwork and great hands. On the defense, her and teammate Drake anchors Watseka defense. Mallory Drake (Watseka) W/F Mallory is a skilled post player that has the ability to be a plus shooter. Also, has shown potential to be a plus passer and quality ball handler. On defense, she uses her length and body to block/change shots. Regan Bollant (Charleston) W/F Quality forward that can shoot the ball from the outside and stretch the court also has shown potential in attacking closeouts.
