Teams are hoping to either continue ascending into the postseason or that the playoffs can bring about a new sense of energy.
Here are the teams of the week from last week:
Bismarck Century
The Patriots secured another WDA regular season conference title with a 48-41 win over Mandan Thursday. Neither team shot the ball well at all but the Patriots held the Braves to just 27 percent from the field and 26 points below their season average. Lilly Keplin led the way with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Devils Lake
The Firebirds picked up two more good wins last week, putting something of a cherry on top of what was a dominant regular season. They didn’t play until Friday but made the two games in the week count as they beat West Fargo Sheyenne and Grand Forks Red River on back-to-back nights (the no. 3 and 4 teams in the league). Two games remain in the regular season but Devils Lake has already secured an EDC regular season title and looked primed for a deep postseason run.
Kidder County
With most of Class B off for the week ahead of the regional tournaments, there wasn’t a ton of action to choose from but with some tournament dates taking place last Monday, there were some compelling wins out of Region 3. Kidder County came up with a big win, remaining undefeated with a win over Linton/HMB, beating the Lions 71-68 in overtime.
